These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Beach Avenue Media Inc. ("ShouldI," "we," "us") governing your use of the ShouldI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
ShouldI is intended for users 18 years of age or older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18.
ShouldI lets you post a decision, receive Yes/No votes from other users, talk through a decision with the Decision Companion (an AI chat feature), privately record your own Final Choice, and optionally purchase ShouldI Plus to generate an AI-written "Full AI Insight" report based on your own answers to a worksheet. Community votes, Decision Companion replies, and AI Insight reports are opinions and general information only — they are not professional financial, legal, medical, or psychological advice, and we do not guarantee any outcome from following them.
ShouldI uses anonymous authentication by default. You may optionally link your account to Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google so your history survives a lost or replaced device; you may delete your account at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the decisions, context, and any other content you submit ("User Content"). ShouldI has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to post User Content, and not to use the App, in a way that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that otherwise abuses or endangers another person. We do not pre-screen User Content, but we actively enforce this policy through the mechanisms below, and we will remove violating content and take action against violating accounts, including permanent removal from the App, without advance notice.
Reporting. Any user can report a decision they believe violates these Terms using the in-app Report feature. We review every report promptly and will act on it, which may include removing the content, warning the user responsible, or permanently banning the account from the App, at our discretion.
Blocking. Any user can block another user directly from within the App. Once you block someone, their content is removed from your feed immediately, and this takes effect without needing to contact us or wait for a review.
ShouldI Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited Full AI Insight reports. Key terms:
Full AI Insight reports and Decision Companion replies are generated by an AI model based on the information you provide. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your situation. You are solely responsible for any decision you make; ShouldI is a tool to help you think, not a substitute for your own judgment or for professional advice.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or misused the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beach Avenue Media Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including decisions made based on community votes or AI Insight reports.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts located in British Columbia, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App. If you reside in a jurisdiction that grants you mandatory consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived by contract, this section does not limit those rights.
